The Closing Energy of 2025 and The Bridge into 2026

As we come to the very end of this year, the energy feels quieter but not empty.

It feels full in a different way. Full of wisdom. Full of integration. Full of everything we’ve lived, learned, and survived.

Last week, the Solstice reset the light, Capricorn season has grounded the field, and you may already feel that subtle sense that something new is forming, even if you can’t name it yet. This is not a time for rushing ahead or forcing clarity. It is a time for feeling what you’re ready to carry forward, and what you are finally willing to put down.

The closing energy of 2025

2025 has been a year of deep inner work for so many of us.  Not flashy transformation, but deep, honest transformation.

This year asked us to see the truth instead of the illusion. To listen to the body instead of overriding it. To tend to the nervous system instead of pushing through. To set boundaries where we once abandoned ourselves. And to allow relationships to become mirrors rather than battlegrounds.

Many of us shed old identities this year. Old roles. Old ways of coping. Old versions of ourselves that simply weren’t sustainable anymore.

2025 didn’t ask us to become more productive, It asked us to become more truthful.

As the year closes, the energy supports integration rather than intensity. Simplifying rather than striving. Choosing what is real, steady, and nourishing and releasing the rest.

The bridge into 2026

What’s powerful to know right now is that we’re not just ending a year. We’re crossing into a very different energetic chapter.

Early 2026 brings some of the most significant astrological shifts we’ve seen in a long time beginning a new era of spiritual sovereignty, courage, and embodied truth.

There is a massive shift that continues in a bigger way, accelerating change around communication, learning, and the way we share ideas. 

The energy of 2026 is faster, and more forward moving, but it also asks for clarity and self leadership. We won’t be able to drift or avoid our truth. We will be invited to live it.

Chinese astrology from Snake to Horse

Energetically, we are also transitioning from the Year of the Wood Snake in 2025 into the Year of the Fire Horse from February 2026.

The Snake year has been about shedding skins, deep internal change, strategy, and healing beneath the surface.

The Horse year brings momentum. It carries bold, heart-led, freedom-seeking energy. Movement. Courage. A call to live more honestly and more fully. The Horse does not like stagnation. It asks us to move in alignment with what feels alive.

What 2026 asks of us

As I look ahead, the work of the coming year is not about doing more. It is about being more aligned.

2026 asks us to choose sovereignty without guilt. To value consistency over burnout. To communicate clearly and honestly. And to listen to the nervous system as wisdom, not weakness.

This is a year where embodiment matters. Living the truth in the body, not just understanding it in the mind.

I do believe there will be a lot of fear on our planet over the coming year, and we will need to know what to do daily to not get caught up in it.

"Sovereignty"

If I had to choose one word to guide us into 2026, it would be: Sovereignty.

Not hardened independence. Not separation.But a deep, grounded sense of being self-led, self-honouring, and anchored in truth. 

As we close this year, know that wherever you find yourself tired, hopeful, reflective, excited, or uncertain, you are just integrating, and it may take a little time.  

Let the end of this year be spacious. Let it be honest. Let it be kind. And trust that the new chapter unfolding does not need to be forced. It is already finding its way to you.

May you move forward now grounded, clear, and open hearted. May you live with gratitude, joy, love, and connection. 

May you love the life you live and live the life you love.
