THE DOOR IS OPEN BUT YOU HAVE TO WALK THROUGH IT
11 - 17 October, 2026

Hi beautiful souls,
We begin this week under the energy of the Libra New Moon, which arrived early on Sunday morning here in Brisbane. It feels like a reset. A fresh page. A chance to create new agreements with ourselves, with others and with life.
We have spent the last few weeks recognising triggers, reassessing what we want and looking honestly at what no longer fits. Now the energy begins to turn forward and asks a very important question:
What are you going to do with everything you now know?
Awareness is powerful, but eventually it needs to become a decision, a conversation, a new habit or a different way of showing up.
We can know that something needs to change for years and still remain exactly where we are. We can journal about it, meditate on it, pull cards about it and ask the universe for fourteen more signs, but there comes a point when we have to move.
My friends, the door may be open, but we still have to walk through it.
A New Beginning That Feels Different
New Moons are usually beautiful moments for planting intentions and beginning something new, but with Venus still travelling backwards, this one feels slightly different.
It is not asking us to race ahead and reinvent our entire lives. It is asking us to begin again with more honesty.
We may be rewriting an existing relationship rather than beginning a new one. We may be returning to an old dream but approaching it differently. We may be adjusting the way we work, spend money, receive love or use our energy.
The new beginning may be internal before anybody else can see it.
Perhaps you stop chasing someone who continually leaves you confused. Perhaps you decide your work deserves greater value. Perhaps you begin making room for creativity, pleasure or rest. Perhaps you finally admit that the life you have worked so hard to create no longer feels like the life you want to live.
None of this has to be announced dramatically.
Sometimes the most powerful decisions are made quietly. Nobody claps. Nobody even notices at first. But something inside us has shifted and we know we cannot return to the person we were before.
This New Moon asks us to become clearer about what balance really means. Not keeping everyone happy. Not giving equal amounts of energy to things that nourish us and things that drain us. Not saying yes while quietly resenting it.
Real balance means creating a life where our relationships, work, health, responsibilities and desires can exist without one area continually consuming all the others.
Where does your life need to come back into balance? Where are you giving too much time to something that gives very little back? What would you like to feel more of in this next chapter?
Do not only think about what you want to achieve. Think about how you want your life to feel while you are creating it.
The Energy Begins to Move
At the beginning of the week there may still be a restless or unpredictable feeling around us. Plans could change, people may surprise us or something we had carefully organised may need to be adjusted.
Thanks to Uranus, the great awakener, these changes may be trying to show us another possibility. Do not assume every disruption is a disaster. A changed plan may reveal a better option, a delay may place us in the right conversation or somebody’s unexpected behaviour may give us information we needed.
At the same time, try not to blow up your entire life simply because you feel bored. Give sudden ideas room to breathe and ask whether this is a momentary rebellion or a truth that has quietly been growing for a long time.
As the week progresses, the energy feels lighter and more hopeful. Something that felt blocked may begin to open. We could receive encouragement, an invitation, an opportunity or a reminder that there are more possibilities available to us than we have recently been able to see.
This is beautiful energy for sharing your work, applying for something, making plans and reconnecting with a bigger vision. If you have been hiding, shrinking or waiting until everything is perfect, this is your encouragement to step forward. You do not need to be completely ready. You need to be willing.
Pluto also begins moving forward this week, helping us act on some of the deeper awareness we have gained over the past few months. We may recognise where we have been giving our authority away or waiting for somebody else to make a decision that actually belongs to us.
Taking our power back does not need to involve drama. It may simply mean keeping a promise to yourself, saying what you mean or finally beginning something you have talked about for months.
Towards the weekend, Master Mars gives us motivation while Saturn helps us create a realistic plan. This is supportive energy for turning an idea into something real, clear the space and take the first practical step.
Do not underestimate small, consistent actions. Our lives change through what we repeatedly do, not only through what we occasionally feel inspired to do.
Venus is still moving backwards, so relationships, money and self-worth remain under review. Something unexpected may arise in one of these areas or we may realise that we need more honesty, individuality or freedom.
Try not to panic if your feelings shift. Not every changing emotion requires an immediate life-changing decision. Let yourself become curious about what it is showing you.
This week brings movement, but it is not asking us to rush. It is asking us to use everything we have learned and begin moving in a direction that feels more honest.
Inspiration Needs Structure
This week carries a beautiful combination of inspiration and discipline.
It is one thing to feel inspired. It is another thing to create a structure that allows the inspiration to become something real.
Think about how many wonderful ideas arrive when we are walking, meditating, driving or lying awake at three in the morning. At the time, they feel completely life-changing. Then the next day arrives, the washing needs doing, somebody sends an annoying email and the idea quietly disappears.
This week asks us to catch the inspiration and give it somewhere practical to land.
If there is something you have been talking about for months, begin it. Do not underestimate the power of small, consistent action.
We often wait for enormous bursts of motivation and then feel disappointed when the motivation disappears three days later. But a life changes through what we repeatedly do, not only through what we occasionally feel inspired to do.
Ask yourself what one action, repeated consistently, would make the biggest difference to your life over the next six months.
Perhaps it is walking every morning, saving a certain amount each week, writing for thirty minutes, asking for help, going to bed earlier or regularly doing something that makes you feel alive.
The smallest promises we keep to ourselves begin to rebuild self-trust.
You do not need to change everything at once. Choose one thing and start there.
By Sunday night, we reach the First Quarter Moon, and this is where our New Moon intentions begin to meet reality.
The seed has been planted. Now we need to support it.
This phase can bring a little friction because the excitement of a new beginning meets the practical work required to create it. We may notice what is getting in the way. Time, fear, responsibilities, habits or a lack of structure may become more obvious.
Do not see this as failure.
The obstacle is showing you what the dream requires.
If you want a different relationship, you may need to communicate differently.
If you want a different career, you may need to learn something, apply for something or become more visible.
If you want greater wellbeing, something in your daily routine may need to change.
If you want more meaningful friendships, you may need to go somewhere new and allow yourself to be known.
If you want more freedom, you may need to stop filling every available space with responsibility.
Intentions are not magic words we hand to the universe and then wait for it to organise everything. They are agreements about what we are willing to participate in creating.
This does not mean forcing an outcome or believing we can control everything. It means meeting life and the universe halfway.
The universe may bring the opportunity, but we have to answer the email.
It may introduce us to the person, but we have to allow ourselves to be seen.
It may give us the idea, but we have to do something with it.
It may open the door, but we have to walk through it.

How to Work With This WeekBegin the week by becoming clear about how you want this next chapter to feel. Notice any disruptions or changes without immediately deciding they are wrong. Stay open to unexpected solutions. When the energy begins to lift, take the opportunity. Share the idea, begin the project or say yes to something that feels expansive. Choose one practical action that supports the future you say you want and commit to it consistently. Notice where your power has been placed in somebody else’s hands and quietly take responsibility for what belongs to you. Allow relationships and desires to evolve without demanding instant certainty. And when the First Quarter Moon arrives, look at what is required next. Do not abandon the intention simply because it now asks something from you. The Lessons and BlessingsThis week reminds us that:
✨ Affirmation of the Week ✨"I trust what is beginning to unfold. I reclaim my power, honour what I now know and take grounded action towards the life I am ready to create. I do not need complete certainty to take the next honest step." |
Beautiful soul, you may have spent months waiting to feel ready.
Waiting for clarity. Waiting for confidence. Waiting for somebody else to change, choose you, approve of you or finally give you the sign you needed.
But perhaps readiness is not a feeling that arrives before we begin. Perhaps readiness is created by beginning.
You do not need to see the entire path. You only need to recognise the next honest step and become willing to take it.
The door may not stay open forever. Not because life is trying to punish you, but because some opportunities belong to the version of you who is brave enough to meet them. This week, stop asking for another sign.
The open door is the sign. Now walk through it. |
Love you, Sarah ✨ |
