BALANCE DOES NOT MEAN BETRAYING YOURSELF
20 - 26 September, 2026

Hi beautiful souls,
This is a week of rebalancing.
Not the kind of balance where we attempt to keep everything perfectly organised, everyone happy and ourselves functioning beautifully while quietly abandoning ourselves.
Real balance.
The kind that asks us to notice where we have been giving too much, carrying too much, saying yes when we mean no and maintaining peace around us while quietly creating war within ourselves.
The energy begins lightly. There is movement, optimism and possibility around us. Conversations may open doors. Ideas may expand. Something that felt stuck could begin moving again.
Then, on Wednesday, we cross the Spring Equinox here in Australia, a powerful turning point in the year when light and darkness meet as equals. I love the energy of this alignment.
By the weekend, we are moving towards a highly sensitive Aries Full Moon.
So this week has a very clear journey:
We begin by looking forward. We pause to find our centre. Then we are asked to choose ourselves.
This is not about becoming selfish. It is about remembering that you are also someone you are responsible for loving.
The beginning of the week feels more open, unexpected opportunities or different ways of approaching an old situation may appear and help to shift some deep old patterns. A conversation could give you hope where you may have given up. Someone may offer support, encouragement or a perspective you had not considered. Be open to all these possibilities; they will help you.
This is a beautiful time to speak about what you want, share an idea, apply for something, make plans and reconnect with the bigger vision for your life. This may have been forgotten about recently with all the chaos we have had going on.
But my friends there is also unpredictability in the air. Plans may change. People may surprise you. Something you thought you wanted may suddenly feel restrictive, while an option you had not considered begins to feel exciting. Do not assume every change of direction means you have lost your way. Sometimes the path changes because you have changed. Sometimes freedom arrives disguised as a cancelled plan, sometimes the universe is simply saving you from attending something you did not really want to go to anyway.
Stay flexible. Follow what feels alive, but give new ideas enough time to reveal whether they are genuine guidance or just Tuesday afternoon enthusiasm.
Your Vision Is Expanding
Mercury and Jupiter support bigger conversations and a wider perspective early in the week.
This can help us see beyond immediate problems and remember what might still be possible.
We should feel more confident expressing ourselves. There is optimism here, but we need to stay grounded. Not every spiritual download needs to become a life-changing decision before dinner. Let yourself dream bigger without demanding that you understand every detail.
Ask yourself:
What future am I becoming available for?
What would I choose if I stopped using the past as evidence for what is possible?
Where have I been thinking too small because disappointment taught me to expect less?
Hope is returning but it needs somewhere practical to land.
The Spring Equinox
On Wednesday morning, the Sun enters Libra and we cross the Spring Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere. Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere.
This is one of the great balance points of the year. Day and night stand almost equal. Light and darkness meet, neither needing to defeat the other. Nature reminds us that balance is not created by eliminating one side. It is created by allowing both to belong.
You can be grateful and still want change. You can love someone and still need a boundary. You can be spiritually evolved and still occasionally want everyone to leave you alone.
You can be strong and need support. You can feel excited about the future and still grieve what you are leaving behind. We create so much suffering by believing we must choose one feeling and reject the other. But wholeness has room for contradiction.
The Equinox invites us to return to our centre, not a static centre where nothing moves, but an inner place we can return to even while life changes around us.
This is a beautiful day to clear your space, open the windows, bring flowers into your home, spend time outside and consciously choose what you want to carry into this new season.
Libra Season Changes the Focus
As the Sun moves into Libra, our attention turns towards relationships, communication, fairness and the way we share our lives with others. With Venus in Scorpio, these relationship themes carry extra depth and intensity.
We may feel more social, collaborative and interested in connection. Libra energy can also expose where we have confused harmony with self-abandonment. You may notice this.
There is a difference between compromise and betraying yourself. There is a difference between kindness and having no boundaries. There is a difference between creating peace and avoiding the conversation that might actually really create it.
If you constantly adjust yourself to keep everyone comfortable, the relationship may appear peaceful but your body will know the truth. Resentment is often the part of us that has become exhausted from saying yes. This week, notice where you automatically accommodate, apologise or soften what you really mean. You do not need to become combative. You simply need to remain present in your own life. True balance includes your needs too.

The Aries Full MoonEarly on Sunday morning, we reach a Full Moon in Aries. This is the first Full Moon since eclipse season, and it carries strong emotional energy. Aries is the sign of identity, instinct, courage, desire and the sacred right to exist as ourselves. Opposite the Libra Sun, this Full Moon illuminates the relationship between: Me and we. Independence and partnership. My truth and our peace. What I want and what others expect. The question is not whether we should choose ourselves or choose our relationships. The deeper question is: Can I remain myself while loving another? This Full Moon may reveal where we have become overly accommodating, where anger has been swallowed or where we have waited for permission to live our own lives. Emotions may rise quickly. Frustration that has been politely managed could suddenly become impossible to ignore. Before reacting, ask what the anger is protecting. Anger is not always destructive. Sometimes it is the part of us that knows a boundary has been crossed. The work is not to unleash it onto everyone nearby. The work is to listen to its message. What needs to change? What truth needs to be spoken? Where do you need to act? Where have you been waiting for someone else to choose you? This Full Moon says: Choose yourself but do not turn self-respect into war. Relationships Under the Full MoonRelationships could feel particularly revealing this weekend. Some may reach a deeper level of honesty. Others may expose an imbalance that has been present for a long time. You may need more independence, space or directness. Someone else may express a need that challenges your expectations. Try not to make another person’s boundary mean that you are unloved. A healthy relationship does not require either person to disappear. Love should not cost you your voice. Peace should not cost you your truth. Belonging should not require you to become unrecognisable to yourself. The most loving thing we can sometimes say is: “This is what I feel.” “This is what I need.” “This is what I can offer.” “And this is what I can no longer carry.” How to Work With This WeekAt the beginning of the week, think bigger and remain open to unexpected opportunities. At the Equinox, pause and rebalance. Clear your physical space and notice where your energy is leaking. Towards the weekend, slow down. Do not make every emotion mean something permanent while Neptune’s fog is strong. At the Full Moon, move the energy through your body. Walk, dance, breathe, cry, write or shake, but do not store it. Tell the truth without attacking. Choose yourself without punishing anyone else. Let your needs matter without making another person wrong for having theirs. And find one simple experience that brings you delight. The Lessons and BlessingsThis week reminds us that:
✨ Affirmation of the Week ✨"I honour my needs without closing my heart. I trust the truth within me and create relationships, choices and a life that allow me to remain fully myself." |
Beautiful soul, this week brings us to a threshold. The Equinox reminds us that darkness and light can stand together. The Full Moon reminds us that love and individuality can stand together too. You do not have to disappear to belong. You do not have to remain silent to be loving. You do not have to create conflict to choose yourself. Let this be the week you return to the centre of your own life. Not to shut anyone out. Not to prove a point. But to honour the truth of who you are and what you need. Let this be the week you stop leaving yourself behind to keep everything else together. The moment you stop abandoning yourself is the moment your whole life comes back into balance. |
Love you, Sarah ✨ |
